Safe at Home West Virginia is a statewide program designed to help children and teens remain safely in their homes and communities instead of entering foster care or residential placement. Using a wraparound approach, Safe at Home brings together families, natural supports, and professionals to create an individualized plan that builds on each family’s strengths.

Through this program, youth ages 5–18 and their families receive:

  • Family-driven planning led by a Wraparound Facilitator
  • Supportive services such as counseling, mentoring, respite, and skill-building
  • Crisis planning and 24/7 support to prevent placement disruptions
  • Connections to community resources that strengthen long-term stability

The goal of Safe at Home is simple: to keep children safe, supported, and thriving in their own homes while empowering families with the tools and resources they need for lasting success.
